Ouch! #%$*!

While tending to the yard on Saturday I discovered a RIFA infestation.  The discovery was made when I felt them stinging my left foot.

If you have never been on the receiving end of a RIFA attack let me tell you that you don't want to be.

Luckily, I tend to do my yard tending barefoot and in shorts or it could have been worse.  Since I had no shoes on the first thing that the RIFA got hold of was my foot which meant that I felt the stings before they got above my ankle.  I can only suspect that if I had been wearing the proper yard tending attire then they would have been able to climb higher and inflict more damage.

Right now I have at least 20 sting sites that have become small white pustules on my left foot.

Between the scorpions (Centruroides Vittatus), RIFA, and Spiders ([Black-and-Yellow Argiope] I have one of these in the backyard right now) I'm tempted to move back north where the cold weather would keep them at bay.
